This Season at St. Aidan's

At St. Aidan's, we follow a seasonal calendar that guides our meditation, worship, and gatherings.
All are welcome to join us for our gatherings. 

 

Epiphany Season Worship, Sundays, December 31 - February 11 -- Worship with us at our normal times of 8 am (contemplative service) and 10 am (traditional service).

Shrove Tuesday (Mardi Gras), February 13, 6:30 pm:

Mardi Gras: A celebration for all ages!

It's a hilarious party, and all are invited! The annual St. Aidan’s Mardi Gras celebration is fast approaching on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 6:30 pm, in the Parish Hall. Bring your jokes and wear your funny hats! This is a great opportunity for everyone to let loose and shine, from adults and young adults, to the kids. Prizes will be awarded for the best jokes and most original hats. Every year this event is lots of fun for everyone. There will be plenty of food, dessert, wine, and socializing. Please invite your friends and neighbors, too. The suggested donation is $10 for adults and $20 per family or opt to stay and help clean up. We need volunteers! Food prep, beverage donations, set up, decorations and a clean-up crew for after the event- please sign up! If anyone is interested in volunteering please contact Deborah Low at dalow256@gmail.com. A sign-up sheet with copies of recipes is on a clipboard in the Parish Hall. Reservations are not necessary – please just show up or if you plan attend there will be a sign-up sheet or contact Nathaniel in the office.

Ash Wednesday, February 14:

Services at 7:30 am at the Civic Center, 12 pm at the Labor Exchange (with a lunch hosted by St. Aidan's, and then a traditional 7 pm service at St. Aidan's.

Lenten Season Worship: Wednesday, February 14 - Saturday, March 24.

Join us at our usual times of 8 am and 10 am as we worship with the Book of Common Prayer.

The Lenten Season Adult Education Class Series:

Explore the theme of Discipleship with the Rev, Ed Milkovich on five Wednesdays, Feb. 21 - Mar. 21, starting with a 6:30 pm potluck meal and ending at 8 pm, at the St. Aidan's parish hall.

Palm Sunday, March 25, and Easter Week through Easter Sunday, April 1.
